Memorial Site

Sachsenhausen concentration camp, a few miles north of Berlin, is now a memorial site. It was also the site of the Russian concentration camp which operated there from 1945 to 1950. It commemorates, in a moving and sensitive way, the victims of both camps. My 3 hours there had a profound effect on me and left me contemplating how brutal the 20th century was.
